Microsoft 365 Monitor Filtering/License Consumption

The Microsoft 365 Monitor only displays 50 users.

"This is an advanced monitor available in all plans (except the Enterprise plus Web plan). For every Office 365 monitor, you can monitor up to 50 sites, 50 services, 100 domains, and 100 users."

For the users displayed, is the any ability to filter the results beyond email ID?

For example, only display the top 50 users on mailbox consumption for example.

Or, only display users that are consuming 90% or more of a mailbox, for example.

Additionally, the licensing requirements infer that you can create multiple M365 monitors, and monitor 50 users each.

However, if you clone or create a new rule, by default, it will start pulling the identical users based on username order.

Yes, you can filter, but it is very difficult to do so.

You would need to find a reliable way to filter only to users that are not already monitored in another, otherwise it would be very challenging not to overlap.

Only being able to filter on mail ID, and not something else, such as a group membership or license or something, means that it would be very difficult to use.

If you were an organization that had 600 users, you would have to be constantly balancing 12 monitors around to opimally monitor users in this way.

This difficulty makes using this monitor much less desirable.

I would be nice if monitor could consume more than one license and all accounts added to a single monitor. Then, it would be easier to exclude accounts/sites that don't need monitoring.

I've been wanting to use this monitor, but every time I get it a try, but it's hard to make it worth it.

Hi Dennis,

Thank you for raising your requirement to support more users for Microsoft 365 monitor.

We can increase the user limit in the Microsoft 365 monitor from our end based on your requirements. Currently, there is no additional licensing charge for adding more users. However, please note that in the future, there may be charges associated with monitoring additional users.

To proceed, we kindly request you to contact our support team at support@site24x7.com with the exact number of users you wish to monitor, along with specific use cases or requirements. This will help us assess your request accurately and provide an appropriate solution.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Regards,
